Redwood class DT: Viking Helmets

This term, we enjoyed designing and making Viking helmets.

First, we explored the features of Viking helmets and talked about the materials and tools we would need. We then designed our own helmets, making sure they would fit our heads.

Our challenge was to make strong, stable helmets with secure joins. As we worked, we solved problems and made changes to improve our designs. Finally, we evaluated our helmets, discussing what went well, the challenges we faced, and what we would do differently next time.
We are very proud of our finished Viking helmets and the skills we developed along the way!
